In 2010 and 2011, Transeuropéennes and the Anna Lindh Foundation as well as Banipal, CEVBIR, the European Council of Literary Translators’ Associations (CEATL), the Escuela of Translators of Toledo, the King Abdul-Aziz Foundation, the Next Page Foundation, the Goethe Institute, the IndexTranslationum (UNESCO), the Institut du monde arabe, the Institut français du Proche-Orient (IFPO), the Institute for research and studies on the Arab and Muslim world (IREMAM / MMSH), Literature Across Frontiers, The Swedish Institute Alexandria, the Università degli Studi di Napoli l’Orientale and the University of St. Joseph have jointly conducted a "Mapping of translation in the Euro-Mediterranean region" - an unprecedented initiative.
